Young Driver Aston, San Luis 2010Young Driver Aston Martin has completed its 2011 GT1 World Championship lineup by retaining Darren Turner and Stefan Mucke alongside the already announced Tomas Enge, and recruiting newcomer Alex Muller.

Turner, Mucke and Enge are all long-time factory Aston drivers, and were part of Young Driver's squad in the inaugural World GT1 series last year. This season will see Turner and Enge's partnership split up, with Turner joining Mucke in the No. 8 car, formerly shared with Christoffer Nygaard, while Muller joins Enge in the No. 7 Aston after appearing with Mad-Croc Corvette and Hegersport Maserati last year.

Turner said he was looking forward to being paired with Mucke for the first time.

"I won't be racing with my old friend Tomas this time but I'm looking forward to working with Stefan," said Turner. "We have often been in the same team over the years but we haven't been in the same car. We already have a great working relationship so it will be good to go out there and win some races with him."

Newcomer Muller is confident he can fight for the title with Young Driver. Enge and Turner were in contention for last year's crown until the final round, but had to settle for third in the standings after a difficult weekend in the San Luis decider.

"I'm new to the team, but I already feel very comfortable, the atmosphere in the team is great," said Muller. "With Tomas being my teammate, we are a duo capable of winning races and I expect that we will win some races. The competition will be very fierce this season, but our goal is to fight for the championship."
