Markus WinkelhockFormer DTM driver Markus Winkelhock will switch to the GT1 World Championship to race one of Munnich Motorsport's All-Inkl Lamborghinis this year.

The 30-year-old German, who was briefly a Formula 1 driver with Spyker in 2007, has lost his place in Audi's DTM lineup for 2011 after finishing 12th in last year's standings.

Winkelhock will join team manager Marc Basseng in one of Munnich's entries, with Nicky Pastorelli and Dominik Schwager staying on in the other car.

"I think with this driver package and all the gathered experience from 2010 we should be able to drive at the front and get some victories this time, even if the competition is quite bigger than last year," said Basseng.
