Lewis WilliamsonGP3 race winner Lewis Williamson will head new squad Bamboo Engineering's test lineup at this week's Estoril series test. The 23-year-old Briton will be joined at the team by American Ethan Ringel and Venezuelan Roberto la Rocca Ethan Ringel.

Richard Coleman's Bamboo squad, which has competed in the World Touring Car Championship since 2010, announced on Monday that it had taken over Atech's GP3 entry and will contest the series this year.

"This is a very important test for us all, we've done lots of work in the past week off the track and we're looking forward to working through the program, despite the impending weather," Coleman said. "The guys can't wait to get out and test in anger; likewise the mechanics are keen to see how the new car performs. We're getting close to finalizing our driver lineup for the season and have some great young drivers waiting in the wings."

Williamson finished eighth in GP3 in 2010 and took a win at Silverstone for MW Arden, earning him a Formula Renault 3.5 drive and Red Bull Junior status. But when he was dropped by Red Bull midway through 2012 he returned to GP3 with Status and scored points four times in eight races.
