Williams has been fined 5000 euros ($6,800) for a breach of the tire regulations during Friday practice at the Italian Grand Prix.
Rubens Barrichello was found to have used a set of option tires that had not been allocated for use on Friday during second free practice.
Article 25.4 of Formula 1 Sporting Regulations state that three sets of dry-weather tires will be allocated by the FIA technical delegate for each driver for use during P1 and P2 – made up of two prime sets and one option.
Drivers cannot use any other tires from the other sets that have been allocated for the remainder of the weekend.
