Guy Wilks has signed to drive for Skoda UK in this year's Intercontinental Rally Challenge AUTOSPORT reports.
The British driver, who won the final round of last year's IRC on his debut in the Fabia S2000, was unavailable for comment, but an entry has been made on behalf of the Skoda UK team for the Monte Carlo Rally later this month.
Skoda UK is believed to have put together a seven-round IRC program which would enable Wilks to challenge for this year's title. That challenge will begin with the season-opening Monte Carlo Rally, which starts from Valence on Jan. 19.
Wilks, who has tackled the Monte Carlo Rally three times previously, will drive a Fabia S2000 run by Belgian team Rene Georges Rally Sport. An announcement from Skoda is expected later this week.
