Robert Wickens has signed to race for Carlin Motorsport in the British Formula 3 round at Hockenheim this weekend.
The team has a vacant seat following its split with Oliver Oakes prior to last weekend's races at Rockingham and Wickens, who drove for Carlin in Formula Renault 3.5 last season, has been drafted in for the German event.
"I'm looking forward to racing with Carlin again as I had a good time with the team in World Series, and hopefully we can get some good results together this weekend," Wickens said.
"I've already got some experience of the Hockenheim track from having raced there in the F3 Euro Series, but it will be my first time in a Carlin F3 car and on Cooper Tires, so it will be quite a steep leaning curve."
Wickens is racing in Formula 2 this year and won the opening two rounds of the championship at Valencia last weekend.
