The Indianapolis Star reports that IndyCar driver Dan Wheldon and his Panther Racing team have settled the dispute over unpaid wages that was expected to drive Wheldon from the team for next year.

The Star reports Wheldon's agent, Adrian Sussman, joined Panther co-owner John Barnes in announcing Friday that a lawsuit filed in Indianapolis by Wheldon's company, DW Motorsports, has been resolved. The suit sought unpaid wages and travel expenses of more than $2.5 million over the past two IZOD IndyCar Series seasons.

Barnes and Sussman said they are now talking about how to use Wheldon next season. Barnes wants to have a two-car team; he is believed to be interested in Justin Wilson, among others, for one of those seats.
