IndyCar Series racer Dan Wheldon admitted to Britain's The Sun newspaper that he could switch to touring cars after he decides he has had enough of Indy car racing.

"I love Indy cars and very much enjoy driving them," the 2005 Indianapolis 500 winner said. "But there will come a point in my life I might be too old to do it. My wife wants to live in Europe and I have always loved watching all the touring car championships on TV. They are really good and exciting. So that's something I'd love to do. But it's further down the line."

Wheldon also admitted to the UK paper that his Panther team is unlikely to be challenging for wins in the early races this season, although he is hopeful that Panther can again contend for victory at Indy.
