Red Bull Racing's Mark Webber was reportedly unimpressed by Bahrain's revised grand prix circuit layout, which includes a number of slow corners. "Nothing but tight corners," Germany's Auto Motor und Sport reports that the Australian's reaction to the new layout after walking the circuit Wednesday was: "Accelerate, brake, accelerate, brake..."

Asked to respond, track designer Hermann Tilke said, "This loop has been around for years. It was designed for long-distance races to accommodate more cars."

The longer layout is expected to bring the average lap time close to 2 minutes – which will emphasize the anticipated huge gap between the fastest and slowest cars.
