Vitaphone Maserati's lead in the Spa 24 Hours is looking stronger at three-quarters distance.
Although the team's other MC12s fell out of contention during the night, the #2 machine has been fighting for the lead with the Selleslagh Racing and Pekaracing Chevrolet Corvettes.
A strong stint by Alex Muller in the 18th hour allowed him to pull over a minute away from the Selleslagh car of James Ruffier, who fell to third. Jos Menten was within 50 seconds of the leader when he was forced in for an unscheduled stop, dropping the Peka car from the lead lap.
The Phoenix Audi continues to lead G2 in fourth overall, while sixth is held by the GT2-leading #50 AF Corse Ferrari 430. The #121 Ford is dominating GT3, though the fight for second between the #123 Muhlner Motorsport Porsche 911 and the sole Aston Martin of Barwell Motorsport is much closer.
