One of the KV Racing Technology IndyCar pieces fell into place Monday, and another should happen on Thursday. The team confirmed E.J. Viso on Monday, with the Venezuelan set to campaign the No. 5 CITGO/PDVSA entry supported by Herbalife, Mindeporte CANTV and SBA Airlines.

Additionally, KV Racing Technology plans to hold a press conference Thursday at 2 p.m. ET to announce further details of its 2012 driver lineup.

Viso returns for his third season with KVRT and his fifth overall season in IndyCar. After having numbers of 33, 13, 8 and 59 his four previous years, he switches again for 2012.

“I am really happy to be back with KV Racing Technology,” Viso said.  “Last year was very successful even if the results don't necessarily reflect what we wanted.  We worked very hard and we proved we were competitive.  The progress we made over the last two years will be a key to our success in 2012.”

Viso finished 18th in the 2011 IndyCar standings with four top-10 finishes, and a best result of seventh at the first Texas race.
