Jacques VilleneuveFormer Formula 1 world champion Jacques Villeneuve is to contest the Spa 24 Hours later this month. The Canadian will drive a Gravity Racing International-run Mosler MT900R in the G3 invitation class in the FIA GT Championship's premier event, alongside Vincent Radermacker, Ho-Pin Tung and Loris de Sordi.

Villeneuve recently warmed up for the race by contesting the Spa 12 Hours touring car event, finishing 28th in a SEAT shared with WTCC driver Jordi Gene and Pierre Yves Corthals. Earlier this week Villeneuve confirmed that he will also make another appearance in the NASCAR Nationwide Series race at his home track in Montreal at the end of August. The 38-year-old has also hinted that he is interested in an F1 return in 2010.
