Christian Vietoris has been given a two-place grid penalty for the next round of the DTM at Brands Hatch after blocking Bruno Spengler during qualifying at Lausitz.
After reviewing video evidence and a timekeeping report, race stewards decided that the HWA Mercedes driver had impeded the progress of polesitter Spengler's Schnitzer BMW during the second part of qualifying.
This contravenes article 33.3 of the DTM sporting regulations, meaning that the German, who lies fourth in the championship, will receive the penalty at the British circuit.
Vietoris will start 16th for Sunday's Lausitz race.
