Auto GP race winner Giovanni Venturini has signed for BVM Target to compete in Formula Renault 3.5 this year. The announcement completes the 13 teams' 2012 driver lineups.
Venturini scored two victories in Auto GP last year with Griffitz Durango. In 2010, he was a race winner in the Formula Renault Eurocup with Epsilon Euskadi.
The 20-year-old Italian will partner Russian Nikolai Martsenko, who graduates from German F3. Venturini tested extensively in FR3.5 over the closed season with Draco and Fortec.
BVM Target's 2011 driver Daniel Zampieri had been linked to the seat, but is expected to announce his 2012 plans shortly.
