Chris van der Drift will make his Superleague Formula debut with Olympiacos in this year's championship.
The 24-year-old, who holds joint New Zealand and Dutch nationality, is a former A1GP regular and International Formula Master champion, and spent 2009 in Formula Renault 3.5.
"It will be a new experience for me racing on behalf of a team like Olympiacos in a series that is different to what I have done before," said van der Drift. "But I am very excited and I can't wait for the first race. It will be different because I have never driven the car before but I am very proud to drive for Olympiacos. It's a very successful football club with a long tradition and I will try my best to transfer that success into motorsport."
Olympiacos was sixth in last year's Superleague standings, with Esteban Guerrieri taking it to victory at Estoril. The club's Superleague entry will be run by GU Racing this season.
