Michael Valiante will fill in for Antonio Garcia at four Grand-Am Rolex Series rounds the remainder of 2012.

While Garcia and Richard Westbrook, a pair of GM factory drivers, anchor the lineup at Spirit of Daytona Racing, Garcia's American Le Mans Series commitments with Corvette Racing will take precedence on conflicting Rolex weekends.

That means the talented Canadian Valiante, a former winner within the Rolex ranks, will step into the team's No. 90 Chevy Corvette DP at New Jersey in May, Detroit in June and Mid-Ohio in June, and Montreal in August.

Valiante competed in Starworks Motorsport's grandfathered Riley Ford in the season opening Rolex 24 at Daytona after being called in at the eleventh hour, and also competes full-time in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge.

Spirit of Daytona won its first DP race and the first for the new Corvette DP last round at Barber. Garcia and Westbrook seek their second straight victory this weekend at Homestead.
