SEBRING, Fla. (Aug. 31, 2006) - The V8 Stockcar series in association with SCCA comes to historic Sebring International Raceway this weekend, September 2 - 3.
Entries are totaling nearly thirty V8 GT-1 and V8 Stcokcars and it promises to be a great show with some of the fastest cars in the south showing up to test themselves on the 3.7-mile long course, famous for its 12-hour race. Trans Am and Grand Am competitor Jon "Chevy" Leavy will be there with his always fast Camaro as will Jeff Emery in his freakishly fast ex-super late model turned GT-1 Monte Carlo. Other fast guys expected are Robert Borders in his C6 Corvette, Guy "On the Gas" Ratcliff in his Camaro, Matt Griffin in another fast, well prepped, ex-super late model stock car, and Daytona Winner Jeff Bailey in his strong running C4 Vette.
The V8 stockcars will practice and qualify on Saturday and race twice on Sunday.
The V8 Stockcar series runs in conjunction with SCCA at some of best road courses in America including Watkins Glen, Road America, Daytona, Sebring and Road Atlanta.
