Australian Grand Prix organizers are to help raise money for the victims of the Queensland flooding by auctioning off a ride in a two-seater Formula 1 car. The auction runs until the end of next week, and the winner will have his ride in the 700hp car during the Albert Park event in March.
Andrew Westacott, who is the acting chief executive of the Australian Grand Prix Corporation, said: "To experience the power of a two-seater F1 hitting speeds of 300 kilometers per hour is normally a money-can't-buy opportunity.
"By auctioning this amazing experience, we hope to raise a significant amount to support Queenslanders."
