Meeke joins German Baja event

Current Intercontinental Rally Challenge leader Kris Meeke will take part in the inaugural Baja 300 Powerdays event in Germany later this month. The 24-26 July event, masterminded by former world rally-winning driver Armin Schwarz, will showcase rally drivers competing against Baja drivers and motocross riders. Joining Meeke on the entry list are WRC stars Petter Solberg, Gigi Galli and Nasser Al-Attiyah.

The weather on Friday was bitter (including light snowfall in the morning), but the sun came out Saturday and Sunday to give way for some action-packed Nationals on the 2.9-mile course in College Station.

Mother Nature provided beautiful blue skies, a mild breeze and 70 degree weather while the Buccaneer Region treated everyone to a Saturday night menu of Southern barbeque chicken, potato salad, green beans and cold refreshments
