Mountain Home, Ark. (March 13, 2006) ― TRM Classics Racing completed its driver line-up for 2006 by signing Stan Wilson to drive the #92 T3 2006 Chevy Cobalt SS Supercharged.

Wilson will join TRM’s owner Chris Brannon, who will pilot the #16 T2 2005 Pontiac GTO 6.0, with sponsorship from TRM Classic & Collectible Autos, Net Evidence, Inc., Kumho Tires, JEG’s High Performance, Carbotech Brakes, Wilson & Wilson CPA, and Wilson Racing, Inc.

Both the Cobalt and GTO are the first and only cars of their kind in their respective T2 and T3 classes. Brannon and Wilson will work side by side, sharing information, data and technology to develop both the GTO and Cobalt into Championship race cars.

“We plan to make Cobalt and GTO owners all over the country, as well as GM proud of the 2006 effort that we have put together,” Team Owner Brannon said. “Stan is a great addition to our team for 2006 and will be a great fit, with the potential to run right at the front all year. Stan has raced front-wheel and rear-wheel drive cars and has shown great speed, so we’re really looking forward to getting under-way and seeing what results this season holds for us.”

Wilson brings longtime sponsor Kumho Tires into the TRM Classics stable for a full season as Kumho has supported him for several years in SCCA competition; where he ran consistently at the front of the field and finished no lower than second in the season standings.

Kumho Tires has sponsored Wilson for 6 years, including showroom stock cars, Touring and Grand Touring cars in sprint and endurance races. He has also competed in the SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge Championships.

“I am looking forward to a great season in T3 SCCA Club Racing representing TRM Classic & Collectible Autos and Chris Brannon,” Wilson said. “I hope to challenge for the top spot in the championship in October for TRM Classics, GM Performance, Phoenix Performance, Kumho Tires, NetEvidence, Carbotech and JEGS.

“I’m certain it’s going to be a tough year as Chris and I develop the Cobalt SS Supercharged car for the first ever SCCA Club Racing National Championship Runoffs to be held in Topeka, Kan. T3 is in its first National Championship season and is shaping up to contain several first-class drivers and teams. I’d like to express my gratitude to Chris Brannon and our sponsors for giving me this opportunity, and allowing me to represent them in this exciting new SCCA class.”
