Paul Tracy has added the Watkins Glen round of the IndyCar Series to his programme with KV Racing Technology.
The 2003 Champ Car champion had already joined the team for Indianapolis and secured a deal to race for it again in the championship's two Canadian rounds, and his programme has now been extended to encompass the Glen event on 5 July too.
Team co-owner Jimmy Vasser said the extra race would allow Tracy to be better prepared for Toronto and Edmonton.
"Running Paul at The Glen with [team-mate] Mario [Moraes] gives us the opportunity to maximise our efforts on a very challenging road course and provides Paul with a tune-up race before he competes in front of his hometown fans in Toronto," said Vasser.
The race will mark Tracy's first taste of the former Formula 1 venue.
"It's pretty weird to be racing at such a famous old circuit for the first time in my career at the age of 40," he told Racer.
