Bruno Senna's debut in Formula 1 could come this year with Scuderia Toro Rosso, according to Italy's Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport. Senna – who had expected to race for the then-new Brawn team last season before unexpectedly losing out to Rubens Barrichello at the last minute – signed late last year with the start-up Campos team. However, the Spanish operation, which is scheduled to race Dallara-Cosworths, is reportedly encountering difficulties assembling the necessary budget to compete. 

Toro Rosso, meanwhile, has pointedly declined to confirm that Spaniard Jaime Alguersuari will return for a second season with the Red Bull-owned team. Could a swap be in the offing for Senna, nephew of F1 legend Ayrton and a former GP2 Series champion?
