Drag Racing contributor to RACER Magazine, Todd has raced Alcohol Funny Cars since 1995, when he formed his own team and reached the IHRA Springnationals final in his second career IHRA start. Moving to NHRA racing in 2000, he appeared in the Memphis final in his national event debut and had two more final-round appearances and five in divisional competition driving for Jeff McGaffic's J&B Motorsports (2000-02) and Blake's Follow A Dream operation (2003). From 2004 to 2007, Todd fielded his own NHRA team with his dad, former world champion driver and recent Drag Racing Hall of Fame inductee Ken Veney, as the crew chief. With that car, they won Todd's first NHRA title at the 2006 Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series divisional in Columbus, Ohio. Todd was born in Hollywood, Calif., and grew up in Torrance, Calif., and Wadsworth, Ohio. He graduated from The University of Akron in 1988, worked for NHRA in Glendora, Calif., from 1988 to 1999, and since 2000 has been a free-lance writer b
