TOPEKA, Kan. (Nov. 27, 2008) – If you didn’t get enough to eat at Thanksgiving, prepared to be stuffed with Runoffs programming, Wednesday, Nov. 28, on SPEED, when Touring 1, Formula Ford and GT-3 all air.

T1 gets things started at noon (EST). Will anyone be able to catch the Chevrolet Corvette driven by Andrew Aquilante, who qualified nearly half a second ahead of the field? If he can outlast the Corvette’s of John Buttermore and Mike McGinley, it will be Aquilante’s first SCCA National Championship.

Next up at 1 p.m. is the FF race, with John Robinson II and Tony Coello making up the front row. Coello jumps into the early lead, but can’t hold off 2005 Formula Ford National Champion Robinson for long. Pushing hard, it only took a couple mistakes from Robinson to give Coello another shot at the lead. Coello continues to put distance between himself and Robinson as the laps tick by, could he be en route to his first National Championship, or will Robinson make take his second title?

GT-3 wraps up the Runoffs action at 2 p.m. Five-time GT-3 Champion Pete Peterson in a Toyota Celica grabs the early from polesitter John Black in a Nissan 350Z, but the two can only run together for a handful of corners before both are in the grass at Turn Five. One driver will continue, working his way back through the field for the win, the other will keep it parked in Turn Five. Will it be six GT-3 Championships for Peterson or a second Runoffs title for Black? Tune into SPEED this Wednesday to find out!

The T1 and FF races will re-air on SPEED, Thursday, Nov. 29, at 3 and 4 a.m., respectively. The GT-3 race re-airs Friday, Nov. 30, at 3 a.m.
