Tesla has released the first official pictures of its new Roadster Sport. They show the production-ready car and were released along with updated technical details.

These include the fact that it has 284hp, accelerates from 0-62mph in 3.7sec (0.2sec faster than the standard Roadster) and has a carbon fiber hood and rear spoiler and a push-button transmission selector to replace the aluminum knob of the standard car.

It also has a central touch screen that displays the car's estimated range along with the total number of oil barrels saved over a fossil fuel car.

The Sport also runs on Yokohama Ultra High Performance tires and harder suspension with adjustable dampers and anti-roll bars that will be tuned to the driver's preference.

The Tesla Roadster Sport starts at $128,500 in the United States.
