Nick Tandy has joined Kolles & Heinz Union's Formula 3 Euro Series team in place of Carlo van Dam, following the Dutchman's split with the squad.

Tandy is currently third in the British F3 standings with his family-run JTR team and took his maiden category victory at Rockingham last month, shortly after the death of his brother and team founder Joe Tandy.

He will become the fourth driver to race for the new Kolles team in just three events this year, following van Dam's departure, Robert Wickens' one-off appearance at Hockenheim and Dane Johan Jokinen joining the outfit for the previous race at Lausitz.

Team co-owner Werner Heinz said: "We are delighted to have signed up such an experienced driver for our team."
