The Swiss Racing Team will continue in the GT1 World Championship with a pair of Lamborghinis this season.
Othmar Welti's squad had run Nissans in the inaugural series last year, but had a difficult campaign. Sumo Power has now taken over Nissan's whole four-car entry for 2011, setting up a new arm under the JR Motorsports banner to run the additional cars.
The Swiss team has now confirmed it will instead take Reiter Engineering's place as the second Lamborghini runner alongside the Munnich squad. Ex-Formula 1 driver Karl Wendlinger will stay with SRT for its new program, but the other three drivers have yet to be announced.
"We have worked hard during the winter break to make the change to Lamborghini possible," said Welti. "We were running out of time. It was very close. After all, we had to convince our sponsors that we would be more successful with the new brand.
"That is why we want to assign good pilots for the remaining places in the cockpit. And again we are pressed for time. However, we are in a good place at the moment."
