Superleague Formula has announced its full driver lineup for this weekend's 2011 opener in the Netherlands, with a 14-car field set for Assen.
The Eurpean soccer team-themed series has adjusted its format this year, with many entries now representing countries in place of or alongside the previous club livery system, and the series title altered to "Superleague Formula Nations Cup."
The series had already confirmed Craig Dolby, John Martin, Yelmer Buurman, Frederic Vervish and Neel Jani as returnees, with Formula Renault 3.5 convert Filip Salaquarda joining the lineup. Now it has announced that established race winners Tristan Gommendy, Earl Bamber, Robert Doornbos and Ho-Pin Tung will also be back, along with fellow returnees Duncan Tappy, Maria de Villota, 2009 Formula 2 champion Andy Soucek and former Formula 1 driver Antonio Pizzonia.
Practice for the opening round of the 2011 season begins at Assen on Friday.
