TALLMADGE, Ohio (December 6, 2004)—In 2005, Summit Racing Equipment will offer a contingency program for SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) competitors who finish first, second, third or fourth place in the Touring 1, Touring 2, GT-1, and American Sedan Classes.

Contingency money will be awarded at each of the 2005 National Club Racing events as well as the SCCA National Championship Runoffs® Presented by Kohler. Competitors in each of the four classes who place first, second, third or fourth and display a Summit Racing Equipment decal on each side of their vehicle will earn cash contingency prizes as follows: 1st place receives $100.00, 2nd place receives $75.00, 3rd place receives $50.00, and 4th place earns $25.00. Official registration forms will be available at www.scca.com after January 1, 2005. Decals will be sent to each competitor upon receipt of an official registration form.

“Summit Racing Equipment has a strong and well diversified motorsports program,” said Jeff Winters, Summit Racing Equipment Marketing Team Manager. “We were looking to expand our motorsports involvement and the SCCA is a great fit.”

“Our product mix aligns well with the vehicles in classes such as American Sedan. Plus, many Summit Racing employees are members of the SCCA and compete at local tracks, while others closely follow the national events and point standings all season,” Jeff explained. “We are looking forward to this new venture—it should be a great experience for Summit Racing Equipment as well as the competitors in the Touring 1, Touring 2, GT-1, and American Sedan classes.”
