Zoran Stefanovic says he will not continue his relationship with the Toyota ex-Formula 1 team based in Germany this year, after his plans for an F1 entry for this year failed.
The FIA refused to grant the Stefan GP team an entry in place of US F1 this season, and has instead invited entries for the remaining slot for 2011. With that, Stefanovic thanked Toyota for its support, but says their cooperation is no longer possible.
"For 2010, it's not feasible to do it anymore," Stefanovic told AUTOSPORT. "We have some other [plan] in mind – we will see.
"We are very grateful to Toyota, which is a great company and doing a great job in what they are doing. They are now organizing things differently, they are now more profit centered in TMG in Cologne."
However, Stefanovic did not rule out working with Toyota again for 2011, saying only, "We are not going to discuss it at the moment." He added that he is still seeking a way onto the F1 grid, and will continue discussions with the FIA.
"We are all the time looking for a solution which is feasible for us," he added. "At the moment, there is no opportunity to organize anything. We're basically looking to see which direction we will go in the very near future.
"Our intention is to start with the FIA and the process, but we have to wait and make a decision. It is not just [a matter] of saying yes, it is how [we do it]."
