Starworks' Motorsport led seven Daytona Prototypes on the lead lap after three hours of the 51st Rolex 24 at Daytona on Saturday as darkness enveloped Daytona International Raceway. Sebastian Bourdais, in the No. 2 Ford Riley, led TELMEX/Target Chip Ganassi's Memo Rojas in the pole-sitting No. 01 BMW Riley by just 0.214 seconds.
 
Dario Franchitti and the No. 02 Target/TELMEX Chip Ganassi BMW Riley was 4.6 seconds from the lead in a race that so far has featured just one full-course caution period.
 
Olivier Beretta continued to lead GT for Scuderia Corse Michelotto in the No. 63 Ferrari 458. The No. 63 Ferrari was 13 seconds clear of John Edwards in the No. 57 Stevenson Motorsports Camaro GS.R. Oliver Jarvis was another 1.1 seconds back in Alex Job Racing's Audi R8 GRAND-AM.
 
Porsches held the top three positions in GX. David Donohue continued to lead the class as it has most of the day. The No. 16 Porsche Napleton Racing Porsche Cayman led by two laps over Eric Foss in BGB Motorsports' Porsche Cayman.
