Danica Patrick's move to NASCAR for 2012 is almost complete, according to the Associated Press. The AP reports that the IndyCar regular, who has raced in NASCAR's Nationwide Series on a limited basis the past two year with Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s JR Motorsports squad, is on the verge of signing a full-time deal with JR Motorsports for next year's Nationwide Series calendar, and will also run a limited slate of Sprint Cup Series races for Stewart-Haas Racing.

The AP report follows ESPN's story back in May that followed similar lines, and was neither confirmed nor denied by  the involved parties. ESPN claimed that Patrick is likely to continue to run the Indianapolis 500 – and Stewart-Haas co-owner Tony Stewart's team, of course, is a former IndyCar champion....

Patrick's deal with Andretti Green Racing is slated to expire at year's end.
