Bruno Spengler has been docked two places on the grid for this weekend's DTM race at Brands Hatch after falling foul of the championship's tire regulations.
The series leader was found to have breached articles 25.2 and 25.3 of the sporting regulations during Saturday morning's free practice session by "using a complete set of slick tires that were not allocated to this car."
The HWA Mercedes driver, who was also fined 5,000 euros for the offense, will have the penalty applied after the completion of qualifying, meaning that it won't affect his progress during the session.
