TOPEKA, Kan. (Aug. 27, 2008) – SPEED, the official broadcast partner of Sports Car Club of America, is again seeking unique storylines to include in its event coverage of the 45th SCCA National Championship Runoffs this October.

Have an odd job? Did something interesting, dramatic or humorous happen to you this season? Do you have something intriguing planned for this year’s Runoffs beyond the competition? SPEED wants all of your ideas to help to enhance this year’s 25 hours of unique programming that documents the annual crowning of the best Club Racing drivers in North America.

Now is the time for shameless self promotion. If you’re not sure if your story is a good one or not, submit it anyway and let the television folks decide.

Additionally, in-car cameras through SPEED are available for the event at a cost of $1,000. The cameras will be used in the race broadcast and the driver will receive a DVD copy of the footage after the race. The 45th SCCA National Championship Runoffs runs from Oct. 6-12 at Heartland Park Topeka. The event, known as the Pinnacle of American Motorsports, culminates with three days of racing, with separate competitions for each of the 25 Runoffs classes. All 25 races will be tape-delay broadcast on SPEED in a one-hour format. The broadcast schedule will be released at a later date.
