SEBRING, Fla. (March 17, 2004) – SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge GT driver, former IMSA Champion and American Le Mans Series veteran Andy Pilgrim, of Delray Beach, Fla., will be Dave Despain’s guest on SPEED Channel’s Wind Tunnel tonight at 10 p.m. (EST).
Pilgrim, who pilots the No. 8 Cadillac/Mobil 1/Motorola/Bose/OnStar Cadillac CTS-V, returns to SPEED GT competition after an eight-year hiatus. In 23 career World Challenge starts, Pilgrim has recorded four wins, 11 top five and 22 top 10 finishes. Pilgrim makes his return along side teammate Max Angelleli, of Monaco, with the debut of Team Cadillac.
Pilgrim is competing in Round One of the SCCA SPEED GT Championship at Sebring International Raceway this week as part of the 52nd Annual Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring event. He will appear live on the show remotely from the track.
ALMS driver and former Indianapolis 500 Champion Danny Sullivan will also appear on the program.
Wind Tunnel is a unique show hosted by Despain that allows callers to voice their opinions and ask questions about a variety of motorsports topics. The program often features a guest appearance from a top individual in the motorsports community.
