“The 60 Years of Sebring” poster, which will be available for purchase in January, commemorates the 60th running of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh from Florida, as one of America's most prestigious sports car events. Sebring opens the 2012 FIA World Endurance Championship and the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón on Saturday, March 17.
Painted by artist Roger Warrick, the poster also shows the evolution of the famous Sebring pit structure from the first race in 1952. The circuit originated from a World War II USAAF training base known as Hendricks Field. Several B-17 bombers are shown in the artwork, along with other historical details.
In addition to the limited edition version, the official event poster will be released in February. For more information, go to sebringraceway.com.
