Dani Sordo will test a Ford Fiesta RS WRC for the first time later today.
Sordo has been drafted into the Ford World Rally Team to deputize for the injured Jari-Matti Latvala, who has been forced out of next week's Rally Argentina after a skiing accident. Sordo, who has never driven a Ford on a round of the World Rally Championship before, will test the Fiesta for two days in M-Sport's Greystoke forest test facility.
Regulations precluding testing outside of Europe mean he will not be permitted to test in South America, so following his final run on Thursday, the next time he drives a Fiesta in anger will be at his two free practice runs a week later on the fifth round of the WRC.
Sordo has tackled Rally Argentina five times before, finishing second on his last outing with Citroen in 2009.
