Dani Sordo has criticized the organizers' decision to run the final day one stage of Rally Argentina in the dark.
Sordo, who is holding third place just 13 seconds off the lead on his debut with the Ford team, felt the Cosquin/Villa Allende stage should have been cancelled.
"It's not nice to have to go and do this stage in the night time," said the Spaniard. "Maybe they should have canceled [the stage], but you know this is not my problem that we have the problem this morning while we are waiting for the fuel to get through."
The event is running one hour later than planned after the truck carrying the petrol to the refuelling point after SS2 hit mechanical trouble ahead of the first stage of the morning.
"We didn't make notes for this stage in the dark," said Sordo, "and this is going to make it difficult on the crests and things like that. When we have a route with more than 500 kilometers, it wouldn't be so bad to lose 17km."
Citroen's Mikko Hirvonen, who is currently second, said he had no qualms about running SS6 after dark.
"It wasn't great sitting around waiting for an hour on the startline this morning, but I'm not bothered about the dark tonight," he said. "We've got lights, we've got notes – let's go."
