Petter Solberg, Ford, Sweden 2012Petter Solberg has reverted to Ford team-mate Jari-Matti Latvala's set-up in his effort to stave off the attentions of Mads Ostberg on Rally Sweden.

Solberg had struggled to find the right feeling with his Ford Fiesta RS through the morning, slipping back from the lead battle and into the clutches of his countryman Ostberg, who halved the gap between himself and Solberg's third place on the last loop.

"I decided to take Jari's setup," said Solberg. "It was in the last long stage of the morning. I made the change to the clicks in the suspension and this gave me some more grip at the rear of the car, which helped me. Mads is driving very well, now we have to get more feeling for the afternoon now."

Ostberg beat Solberg on the morning's three long stages before dropping time at the short Hagfors sprint test before midday. On the afternoon's opener, Ostberg took another seven tenths of a second out of the factory Ford driver.
