After a long winter season, the 2011 BFGoodrich/Skip Barber National presented by Mazda is set to begin Wednesday, March 16, at Sebring International Raceway in conjunction with the legendary 12 Hours of Sebring.  The weekend will be host to the first two rounds of the 16-race season, comprised of eight doubleheaders.

Throughout the season, drivers will have the opportunity to receive prize money as Parathyroid.com and California Scents will return this season as contingency sponsors. The “Parathyroid.com Winner's Circle Award” will be awarded to the top three points earners at each race weekend; $500 going to the top points earner, $300 and $200 to second and third, respectively. California Scents will continue to award $500 for the California Scents Pole Award and $500 for the California Scents Most Progressive Driver Award for each race.

The winner of the championship will receive a scholarship to compete in the full 2012 USF2000 National Championship, the next rung in the MAZDASPEED Motorsports Development Ladder. The champion will also receive an opportunity to test with Bryan Herta Autosport, an Indy Lights team dedicated to working with Skip Barber Racing School in identifying and aiding in the development of young racing drivers.
