Alexander Sims and Yelmer Buurman will head up the Status GP team's driver lineup for its debut in the FIA World Endurance Championship at Spa this weekend.
European Le Mans Series participant Status has gained a late entry for its Lola-Judd/BMW B12/80 in the Spa 6 Hours after the withdrawal of the new Pescarolo-Judd 03. It has signed Sims, Buurman and four-time Le Mans 24 Hours starter Romain Iannetta for the event.
Sims has extended his deal for the ELMS to include Spa. Buurman will undertake another one-off with the team after making his prototype debut at the ELMS opener at Paul Ricard.
The lineup for Spa looks likely to be retained for Le Mans in June. Only Sims is confirmed for the remainder of the ELMS.
