TOPEKA, Kan. (Nov. 16, 2005) – SPEED Channel continues its tape-delayed coverage of the 2005 SCCA National Championship Runoffs® Presented by Kohler this Sunday, Nov. 20, with Showroom Stock B and Sports 2000.
Set to broadcast at 5 p.m. (EST), SSB features an intriguing match-up between the Mazda Miata and BMW Z4, along with a mix of other models from Acura and Chevrolet. Toby Grahovec, of Palos Park, Ill., attempts to overcome his snake-bitten Runoffs luck, and Harry Manning, of Racine, Wis., looks for his second SSB crown.
Jack Tippens, of Woodstock, Ill., took top honors in SSB at the 2005 SCCA Chicago Region June Sprints Presented by Kohler and could also be a player in the race.
Immediately following the SSB telecast, S2000 features plenty of side-by-side action among the leaders early in the 20-lap race on the 2.258-mile Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
Marc Walker, of Oldsmar, Fla., in search of his first championship, is on the pole and will be challenged by the likes of four-time Runoffs S2000 winner John Fergus, of Powell, Ohio.
Bart Wolf, of Elkhart Lake, Wis., will also be in the mix from his second-starting spot.
