Shell becomes Belgium's title sponsorShell has become the official title sponsor of the Belgian Grand Prix after concluding a multi-year agreement with the Spa event.

The title sponsorship of the Belgian race is part of an extended partnership between Shell and the Formula One Group. The deal includes the continuation of Shell's trackside advertising program at selected Formula 1 races.

"Shell was among the first to recognize Formula 1 as a powerful platform which has been successful for Shell for 60 years," said F1 commercial manager Bernie Ecclestone. "By becoming the title sponsor of the 2011 Formula 1 Shell Belgian Grand Prix, Shell continues to prove its commitment to the sport and play a key role in its enduring success. We recognize the valuable contribution made by Shell over many years and are delighted to provide an environment for this global brand to develop its commercial products."
