New GP2 team Lazarus has signed Giancarlo Serenelli for its second car, completing the 2012 lineup for the series.
The 30-year-old Venezuelan, who is also racing in Auto GP this year, will race alongside Fabrizio Crestani.
Serenelli, a three-time champion in the South American Latam Challenge series, drove for Lazarus at the final pre-season GP2 test, where he was slowest on each of the three days.
He sits 10th in the Auto GP standings after the recent opening round at Monza, where he picked up points for two top-10 finishes.
