The second free practice session on Friday ahead of this weekend's non-championship Superleague Formula event at Beijing in China has been canceled due to problems with the street track.
Following this morning's session, topped by Tottenham's Craig Dolby, race stewards identified issues with curbs on the all-new street track, which is based around the 2008 Olympics Games rowing and canoeing park.
"We had problems with the curbs getting loose at Turns 8 to 13, except for turn 10," said race director Bernard Cottrell. "Therefore, we had to cancel FP2 for safety reasons."
The event will be run as non-championship under a Chinese national license, as the venue failed to achieve FIA Grade 2 status.
