The Scion FR-S concept was officially revealed at the New York Auto Show (see gallery, ABOVE, for photos), following release of images of the car on Wednesday. The Scion-badged iteration of the Toyota FT-86 world sports car is expected to be the version sold in the U.S.

The Scion concept car is a more modest-looking iteration of the Toyota-badged version, although it is believed to be the same car underneath. Externally, the Scion FR-S does without the Toyota's imposing LED lights from the front end, which are chief among the changes.

Concept flourishes do still, however, feature. The wing mirrors and large alloys, for example, probably won't make production.
