Dominik Schwager and Nicky Pastorelli will drive the new Lamborghini that the West Racing team will enter in the American Le Mans Series' GT class this year. The duo were paired in an All-Inkl Munnich Lamborghini in last season's GT1 World Championship, taking a best finish of fourth in the Brno qualification race.
The West Lamborghini is run in collaboration with Yokohama, and the tire company's motorsport manager Andrew Briggs was please.
"West Racing owner Eduardo Espindola has hired two top-notch, seasoned pros," said Briggs. "The competition will be tough, but Nicky and Dominik have experience racing Lamborghinis, so we're anticipating an exciting, successful season."
Sometime Champ Car racer and Jordan Formula 1 test driver Pastorelli was an ALMS regular in 2008-'09 with the Vici Porsche team, while Schwager is making his debut in the series having spent most of the past decade on the Japanese sports car scene before his 2010 GT1 program.
