Ralf Schumacher has been given a three-place grid penalty for the next round of the DTM at Valencia.
The HWA Mercedes driver was judged to have "conducted a dangerous maneuver while re-entering the track" by race stewards after spinning off at Turn 1 during the middle part of the race at Oschersleben on Sunday.
Schumacher almost wiped out his teammate Jamie Green while rejoining, and was hit by the unsighted Audi of Oliver Jarvis a few seconds later. Schumacher's race ended two corners later after he made contact with Filipe Albuquerque.
