Carlos Sainz Jr has been excluded from his seventh place finish in the second race of the GP3 Series opening weekend when his MW Arden car was found to be underweight in post-race scrutineering.
Local hero Sainz, son of the multiple world rally champion Carlos, had charged from 15th on the grid to seventh in Sunday morning's event, but lost his finishing position.
So did fifth-placed David Fumanelli, who had punted Nick Yelloly into a spin. Fumanelli's 20-second time penalty drops him to 17th.
The post-race penalties promote Lewis Williamson and Giovanni Venturini into points-paying positions.
Also penalised were Ryan Cullen, who will receive a five-place grid penalty for the next race for causing a collision with Daniil Kvyat, while Robert Visoiu was given a 20-second time delay for his first-lap clash with Melville McKee.
