Over the weekend, Ron Howard announced the launch date of his new film Rush, which will premiere in September 2013.
Director Howard spent much of the production process tweeting behind-the-scenes shots of the film, chronicling the 1976 Formula 1 World Championship bout between James Hunt and Niki Lauda. The delayed premiere time is to allow for the post-production process of editing both the visuals and more importantly, the sound.
Howard's been a regular at races this year, having attended the Monaco Grand Prix in May and NASCAR's trip to the Brickyard last month. He served as the pace car driver for the latter event.
